If you are looking for birth support only, then this base is the option for you (You can then add on any pre-birth or postpartum visits at a reduced rate if you so wish)

 

This includes;

- Obligation-free initial video meet up 

- One pre-birth in-person planning session (2-3 hours)

- Phone and email support throughout pregnancy during office hours

- On-call from 38 weeks until baby is born

- Attendance of birth plus a few hours after

- 1 x postpartum debrief visit within 7 days of birth

Everyone deserves to be held, celebrated and cared for after welcoming their baby into the world. Postpartum support can really fill in the gaps and can help make those first weeks and months as positive and enjoyable as possible

 

 People who often choose a Postpartum Doula may be a first time Parent, have babies close in age, have a load of kids, have a partner who needs to go back to work immediately, for Defence personnel, FIFO partners, single parents or those who only have a small support network. Let me give you the time and space to rest, shower, eat, feed and enjoy your baby

 

Visits are arranged at your request, they are flexible and are 2-3 hours duration. They can be weekly, daily for several days, every few days, more frequent when your partner goes back to work - whatever you prefer!

Included is a no-obligation video meeting, one pre-birth postpartum planning session where we will work through the ways in which I can provide support for you, I will familiarise myself with your home, routine, your food preferences, how you plan on feeding your baby and what you may expect adjusting to life with your newborn. You will let me know once you are in labour or when birth is imminent and keep in touch - I can be there as soon as you need, including as soon as you have baby in your arms to bring you a nourishing post birth meal! Every one has individual needs and I honour that, flexibly as your journey unfolds

Support can include;

- Phone and email support from booking and during the first 12 weeks (for 3 & 5 package bookings)

- General tidying, dishes, washing (It never ends!)

- Breastfeeding support

- Establishing baby care

- Helping you transition to the 'new normal' of parenthood

- Grocery shopping, cooking meals in your home and food gifts accompanying me to each visit

- Accompanying you out of the house (even looking after baby while you have a mani/pedi, massage or hair appointment, shopping, health appointments etc...)

- Spending time with older siblings while you attend to baby (or take care of baby while you attend to older siblings) or rest, or have a hot drink, or a bath/shower, or do a cross-word... you do you

Investment - 50% (non refundable) deposit to secure your multi visit booking, the remainder to be finalised by 36 weeks gestation

Are you looking to formulate a birth plan or map, want to go on a deep dive into your birthing options, have you been thrown a curve-ball during your antenatal care and need help to clarify or find more information or do you want a refresher session on active birthing strategies and help prepare your partner to support you during labour and birth?

Sessional visits can be paid as you go and are flexible, for 2-3 hours. Book as many as you like!

If you need the services of an experienced birth mentor but are not in the great southern then my Virtual Doula option is for you! Think of me as your birth hotline! I will be available to you via phone and email throughout your pregnancy, birth and postpartum, and we can check in at regular intervals via video chat. We can align meetings with your clinic appointments so I can help you to prepare for your appointments and then afterwards, we can discuss anything that arises. I can connect you with a wealth of resources, information and research relative to your circumstances, which is imperative to informed & intuitive decision making. I can work fairly flexibly to suit your needs, contact me to discuss how best we can connect
